||1848 10C AU58 NGC. CAC. Despite a mintage of 451,500 Seated Liberty dimes struck in Philadelphia in 1848, the number of survivors at the upper grade levels is small, with NGC having graded only six others at this level and 33 finer (9/13). This near-Mint example displays attractive toning on both sides, with the obverse arguably the more pleasing side, with hues of sky-blue, copper, champagne, and red. The coin is well struck and has no marks worthy of individual mention. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
