1871-S 50C AU58 NGC. CAC. WB-102, Die Pair WB-4, R.2. Very Small Mintmark. San Francisco halves are highly collectible, especially now that Bill Bugert has completed an exhaustive variety study. This is a well-struck half with strong remnants of mint luster remaining around the devices. The original silver surfaces are mostly covered with a fine freckling of golden-rose toning.
