1880 $10 MS63 NGC. CAC. Sea-green borders encompass pumpkin-gold fields and devices of this well struck and coruscating example. Neither side displays consequential contact. Mintages of Philadelphia eagles and half eagles reached unprecedented levels for the denomination between 1880 and 1882, while double eagles from the facility had much lower productions. This implies domestic demand for gold coinage, once it could be obtained at par with Federal paper money. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
