1852 $20 AU55 NGC. With a mintage in excess of 2 million coins, the 1852 double eagle is understandably one of the more plentiful Type One issues. This Choice AU representative shows original olive-gold patina over faint remnants of golden luster, while the surfaces are remarkably smooth and the details are nearly complete.
