Description Fayetteville, AR - Branch of the Bank of the State of Arkansas at Fayetteville $20 July 4, 1838 AR-10 G146 Rothert 186-3. PCGS Very Fine 20. A fully issued, choice and rare engraved branch type. The classic Rawdon, Wright & Hatch shows seated Ceres, and Vulcan appears in the vignette at the right; behind is Mercury holding a small bag representing wealth (a signed vignette "...by Freeman Rawdon"). At the left end is a lathe strip with perpendicular TWENTY. The Arkansas State Bank branch issues are complex, with several locations and "on demand" and "post note-interest" types.
