Description West Meriden, CT - Home Bank $3 Nov. 1, 1859 CT-455 G6 . PCGS Very Fine 20 Apparent. Very rare and fully issued. The majority of issued notes from this bank were redeemed by the successor Home National Bank of Meriden. Only listed as a remainder in Haxby and originally printed on an unusual two-note sheet with $10 notes by Toppan, Carpenter & Co. At the center, an outstretched arm holds a hammer under the curved title. At lower left is an Indian hunter. At lower right, a woman tosses grain to chickens. Apparent with some "Small Edge Tears" and end "Mounting Remnants on Back". Very light "83" graffiti is seen to the left of the hammer. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
