Description Newport, DE - Real Estate Bank of Delaware $5 July 4, 1861 DE-45 G6. PCGS Fine 15. This issued Newport note is a beautiful Delaware rarity, fully accomplished and very colorfully created by the American Bank Note Company. Across the center is an arced title. The upper left vignette shows livestock at a water trough; at lower right is Jefferson. Ornate vermilion denomination is across, with matching corner counters. It is listed as a proof, not plated in Haxby, and one of only two issued notes of the type we have seen. Bright and well-framed with clean surfaces, this is in exceptional condition for an Obsolete of this genre. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society. Realized $1,880.00.
