||Salisbury, MD - Bank of Salisbury $50 18__ MD-290 G20 Shank 116.4.25P. Proof. PCGS Choice New 63. The Bank of Salisbury is another Eastern Shore bank that emitted several series of notes. An attractive India paper proof engraved by Underwood, Bald, Spencer & Hufty (UBSH) in their characteristic style. At the top are two sailing vessels near the lighthouse on the point. The identical end panels have corner "50" dies and an oval framed standing hunter with his trusty dog. There were several proof sheets from this bank in the 1990 American Banknote Company Archive sale, but not an example of this $50 proof by UBSH. Hole Punch Cancelled as made and mostly well-margined, although slightly close at the bottom right corner. An attractive note with an appropriate nautical vignette. Ex: Eric P.
