Description St. Paul, MN - Ramsey County Bank $2 Dec. 1, 1858 MN-150 G4a Hewitt B700-D2b. Proof. PCGS Very Choice New 64. The second extremely rare India paper proof denomination from this American Bank Note Company imprinted series reflects the Bald, Cousland & Co. realistic American style. This is printed on India paper only and Hole Punch Cancelled as made. At the top center, are three men are gathering and loading ears of corn onto a horse-drawn wagon; the pony with the workhorse adds extra charm. At the upper left is a veiled woman and at the lower right is a male portrait in a decorative oval. The red protector TWO is across the bottom, just over the signature lines. There are only three listed on the census of 2006, and we do not have auction records of notes from this title. This is another beautiful example and an unparalleled opportunity. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society. Realized $3,995.00. Newman VI (Heritage Auctions, 4/2015), lot 19182. Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions.
