Description Wilmington, NC - Bank of Cape Fear $8 Greensboro Branch Oct. 25, 1858 NC-90 G303b. PCGS Very Fine 25. Philadelphia. Full red lace tint covers the note with large white outlined "8"in the center. At the top center is a long train heading west as black smoke billows from the locomotive; as it passes under a stone bridge, a horse and buggy cross over it, heading east. At the left, a perpendicular EIGHT on intricate lathe work. At the right are two "8" counters. Dated, signed and issued from the Greensboro branch of the bank. This is another exceptional type note with vibrant color, solid paper body and complete, even margins. This will garner much attention from all collectors who appreciate Obsolete banknotes and recognize the tremendous value they represent. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
