Description Northhousen, WI - Buffalo County Bank $5 185_ WI-600 G4a. Proof. PCGS Choice New 63. The second denomination from this plate by Toppan, Carpenter & Co., New York & Phila. (only $1 and $5 notes). Printed on India paper. The vermillion color is exceptional, with a fully arced title across the top flanked by large counters with white outlined "5," and each end shows repeating small circular dies. At the center is another Indian hunting vignette, with the angry mother bear attacking a horse and its rider as the hapless cubs stand by. At lower right is a seated milkmaid. Hole Punch Cancelled as made. This engaging proof design, with powerful Native American imagery, is yet another highlight within this diverse selection of Wisconsin proofs. Ex: Eric P.
