Denomination $2
Description Continental Currency July 22, 1776 $2 Fr. CC-39. PCGS Choice About New 55PPQ. This is the lowest denomination note from July 22, 1776; the $1 note was eliminated and the $30, first used in the May 10, 1775 Session, returned. This is a very scarce note in high grades, and a strictly Uncirculated example is difficult to obtain. Bright and pleasing, with immaculate paper surfaces, complete margins, and excellent centering. Continental specialists will no doubt be interested due to this note's superior condition. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society From Newman VII (Heritage Auctions, 10/2015, lot 18245), realized $1175.00. Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions.
