Description Continental Currency May 20, 1777 $4 Fr. CC-65. PCGS New 62. First United States Notes in uncirculated are difficult to locate and are mainly seen in advanced collections. This a well printed note for the issue, but the face margins are a bit close. However, there are just two uncirculated notes graded at PCGS and only one is finer, a 62PPQ note. PMG has graded no uncirculated notes of this type. In this grade, we consider this note a sleeper type, and undervalued. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society. From Newman VI (Heritage Auctions, 4/2015, lot 19581), realized $1,880.00. Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions.
