Description Continental Currency May 20, 1777 Uncut Single Pane Sheet of $30-$2-$3-$4/$8-$7-$6-$5 Blue Counterfeit Detector Notes Fr. CC-70DT-CC-63DT-CC-65DT/CC-69DT-CC-66DT. PCGS Extremely Fine 40 Apparent. This is another rarity as a detector sheet and one of the few we have encountered. The denomination array is the same as the prior two resolutions, February 26, 1777 and July 22, 1776. This is the first issue where "United States" replaced "United Colonies." There are gutter folds between all the notes. Noted are "Edge Tears at Top Left and Center." The eye appeal, though, is excellent and this is a key blue detector sheet. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society, Heritage Auctions Internet Sale (1/2017). (Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions, ha.com.) Realized $3995.00. (Lot 90338)
