Description Rhode Island January 15, 1776 4 Shillings Fr. RI-223. PCGS Extremely Fine 40 Apparent. This shilling-denominated note is printed uniface on laid paper by John Carter. The paper still boasts much original body, but is horizontally split and was once taped. Noted with "Edge Splits, Tears, and Minor Damage; Stains," but the emblem is quite bold, and the printing embossing is seen on the back. Ex: Eric P.
