Rhode Island September 5, 1776 $1/2 Fr. RI-244. PCGS Very Fine 25. A uniface "Half a Dollar" note printed on thick paper by John Carter, without imprint. This low-denomination change bill is rare in all grades, and the Newman example is well above average. Well margined, and with traces of original embossing seen from the back. Ex: Eric P.
