Description Virginia May 4, 1778 Handwritten Date $2/3 Fr. VA-134. PCGS Extremely Fine 40. These uniface smaller notes are very rare in high grades, and this is one of the finer examples of the series. At left is the classic Virginia trampling Tyranny scene. There is a fold and some handling, but this is an attractive note with excellent face margins. The series is not priced above Very Fine in the Newman reference. A great type note with a pleasant appearance from this challenging series. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society. Realized $1,175.00. Newman VI (Heritage Auctions, 4/2015), lot 19563.
