The lowest denomination from a well-engraved and -printed series by Jocelyn, Draper, Welsh & Co./American Bank Note Co. The light yellow-orange tint has an outlined protector. At top center right, a logger stands by a felled trunk (the vignette used on Owatonna, Minnesota, notes, also from the Newman Collection). There is a large die at the lower left with a veiled woman at the center. Unsigned. Handling is seen from the blank back, but this is a very colorful type. Ex: Eric P.
