Description Great Britain - Bank of England 5 March 20, 1931 Pick 328a. PCGS Extremely Fine 45 Apparent. An attractive Bank of England 5 pounds white note printed on denominated watermarked paper. A vignette of seated Britannia, a version of the Bank of England's official seal, is at upper left. The stylized "Five" at lower left is outlined by the beaded black background that hugs its contours. This example's serial number is between the two other 5 pounds white notes we sold from the Newman Collection in January 2017 and exhibits the same noted "Pinholes" from their long ago time together in the same bundle. A perfect representative of another iconic world paper money type. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society. From Newman X (Heritage Auctions, November 2018), lot 20346, realized $384.
