1799 7x6 Stars Dollar, Toned AU58 Scarce B-21, BB-169, Advanced Die StateEx: "Col" E.H.R. Green. Bowers Die State V. Multiple die cracks throughout both sides confirm an advanced die state of this nearly Mint State BB-169 dollar, which approaches its terminal die stage. We have seen just a single later, unlisted die state that exists for the variety, with a rim cud from above F in OF to the first A in AMERICA. Both sides are dramatically toned -- gunmetal-blue and lavender shades on the obverse, with a swath of lustrous, light golden-gray patina across the portrait. Olive, tan, and deep-violet hues occupy the reverse, with a porthole of brilliant silver at the eagle's head and field stars. The attractive surfaces show only microscopic abrasions and just a trace of high-point wear, bounded by full dentils and sharp definition throughout the motifs. Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R.
