1577 Netherlands Lion Daalder, XF45Issue of Batenburg under Herman Dietrich von Bronckhorst. A highly scarce locale for the popular Dutch Lion Daalder, particularly in such a glimmering state of preservation, and struck on a very round flan free of flan cracks. Moreover, the surfaces have taken on a lightly golden hue, with traces of residual luster still clinging to the boldly rendered devices. Ex. Virgil M. Brand. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
Heritage Auctions 11/2018 (Newman XI), lot15060 (realized $2280).
