Important Fairbanks Scale in the Original Box This rocker type scale with a counterweight checks the weight, thickness, and diameter of four denominations of silver coins from the dime through the silver dollar, and six denominations of gold coins from the gold dollar through the double eagle, including the three dollar gold pieces. The scale is mounted in its original wooden box with faded gilt lettering on the outside top and vivid gilt lettering on the front flap. The outside dimensions of the box are 10.5 x 3.7 x 2.8 inches.
