John Snart's 18th Century English Scale This miniature English scale is housed in a rectangular wooden box with a decorative lid and rounded corners, measuring 3.4 x 1.7 x 0.8 inches. The scale consists of a 2.9 inch iron arm and 1.3 inch brass pans. The case has accommodations for weights, but none are present. A label fills the lid and identifies the scale maker as John Snart. Some rust and corrosion are evident on the scale and pans. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
