Cox Left Handed Pub Till J.C. Cox English pub till, mid-19th century. A row of coin shelves on the left held change for the cashier, and the tower on the right contained the deposit mechanism. A round bowl was set into the base on the left for loose change, and there was a locked drawer on the right. Constructed of wood, brass, and thick panes of glass. An enameled oval plaque on the tower reads INVENTOR & PATENTEE/J.C. COX/174 QUEEN VICTORIA ST. LONDON. EC. Approximately 16 x 17 x 6 inches. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
