Lovely Circa 1920s St. Louis Cash RegisterThis unique and beautiful cash register has a sliding lever on the front to mark five-cent intervals and a lever on the right side to choose dollar amounts up to $4. The outer brass cover and wood base are in excellent condition, while the internal mechanism is partially inoperable. The back glass at the top of the machine is broken and has slipped inside, possibly interfering with the internal mechanism. No keys are present. A beautiful display piece from the St. Louis firm that was incorporated in 1919 and disappeared from records in 1928. A brief history of the firm is found in the cash register drawer. Dimensions of the wood base and drawer: 17.5 x 16 x 4.5 inches. Approximate dimensions of the cash register: 9.25 x 15.5 x 15.5 inches. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
