Eric P. Several hundred pages present. Materials are generally well-preserved. Lot includes: correspondence (1986-1988) between Eric P. Newman and Cliff Mishler of Krause Publications relating to preparation for the third edition, including page mockups with corrections in Newman's hand and extensive discussion between Mishler and Newman relating to layout and editing; a variety of personal notes and documents written by Newman during the editing process; correspondence between Newman and Joe Lasser related to Early Paper Money of America; correspondence between Newman and the Massachusetts Historical Society (MHS), 1987-1988, primarily between Anne Bentley and Newman, covering items in the MHS collection and discussing their exhibit of Colonial paper money in 1988; photocopies of Colonial paper money in the MHS collection, and related catalogue records; correspondence between Newman and John McCusker of the University of Maryland, 1987-1990; correspondence regarding pricing information to be updated for the third edition; correspondence with Cliff Mishler concerning the use of data from Early Paper Money of America in other publications; and material related to the release of the third edition, including approximately 20 acknowledgements from readers and recipients.
