W.W. Neil's Original 1875 CrosbyBoston: Published by the Author, 1875. 4to, contemporary red half morocco, gilt. (2), v, (5), (11)-381, (1) pages; 110 wood engravings in the text; 2 folding heliotype manuscript facsimiles; 10 fine heliotype plates of coins and tokens with original tissue guards. Binding worn and stained; rebacked at one time. Contents a bit dusty, with a couple of tape repairs. Good with very good interiors. State with overprinted coin numbers on Plates IV and V. Coin 15a on Plate VII hand-numbered in pencil, apparently as always. Without the handwritten correction, occasionally seen, to Miss Eliza Susan Quincy's name in the subscribers' list on page 381. Bookplates of Albert Buchman and W.W. Neil: Buchman's collection was sold by J. Schulman in 1917 and W.W. Neil's was sold by B. Max Mehl in 1947. Estimate $750. Ex: Albert Buchman; Will W. Neil.
