Nearly Complete Set of the Elder Monthly Volumes I and II, lacking only one issue (Vol. I, No. 3) for completion. Twenty-two issues (as published in 18) present. New York, March 1906-March 1908. Small 4to, original gilt-printed card covers or printed paper covers. Pagination irregular, with covers occasionally included; illustrated throughout. A chatty, most interesting publication, seldom offered complete, providing considerable insight into its irrepressible editor. In addition to Elder's many commentaries, the issues feature a number of interesting articles (many authored by Edgar Adams), notes on upcoming Elder sales, auction reports, proceedings of various numismatic societies in the United States and Canada, and biographies of famous collectors. Issues with small sewing holes near spine from previous binding. Very good. Estimate $800 Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
