Very Rare Gallahue Counterfeit Bank Note ExpositerNew York: T. Frere, Printer, 83 Nassau Street, 1854. 16mo, later red cloth, gilt; original printed paper wraps, the front bearing several woodcut illustrations of bank note design elements, bound in; binder's leaves added for bulk. 32 pages; illustrated throughout with woodcuts depicting bank note lettering, numbering, portraits, vignettes, and so on. Quite worn, with some tape repairs, though modern binding is fine. Very rare, and unlisted in Dillistin. Estimate $500. Ex: Mayflower (5/1968); Melvin & George Fuld; Frank Katen (8/1971). Ex: Eric P.
