Nicely Preserved 1862 Edition of Hodges' American Bank Note Safe-GuardNew York: Published by Edward M. Hodges, 1862. Folio [36 by 22.5 cm], original decoratively blindstamped green cloth; upper cover lettered in gilt. 336 pages; typographical depictions of bank notes, 30 to a page, throughout. The 1862 edition is the first to be published under the name of Edward Hodges, son of Daniel. It remained in his hands until the final edition of 1865. Front hinges cracked; cloth a bit wrinkled.
