Folio [35 by 22.5 cm], original decoratively blindstamped dark brown cloth; upper cover lettered in gilt. 340 pages; typographical depictions of bank notes, 30 to a page, throughout. The first edition to include the U.S. postal currency. Front hinges cracked, with front cover coming loose; some foxing. Very good or so. Estimate $300 Ex: Essex Institute, with their bookplate.
