An Extensive Run of Hunt's Merchants' Magazine and Commercial ReviewTitle varies somewhat. New York, 1839-1870 (not complete). An impressive group of 55 complete volumes of this very scarce publication, which served as an important conduit of commercial knowledge in the middle of the 19th century, and which by necessity often treated of matters relating to coinage and currency, counterfeiting and banking, in its pages. Volumes present include: 1-30, 33-41, 43, 46-50, 52, 54, and 56-63. 8vo, all in 19th-century bindings much the worse for wear, most with detached boards (a few of which may be missing). Ex-library copies. Pages generally very good, but bindings dry and worn. Still, an extensive run of a difficult to find periodical. Good. Estimate $1,000. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
