Tom Elder's Original Maris on New JerseyPhiladelphia: Printed by William K. Bellows, 1881. Elephant folio [43.5 by 27.5 cm], later blue cloth, gilt. 16, (2) pages; very fine double-page phototype plate of coins by Gutekunst. Clain-Stefanelli 12225*. Trimmed when bound, though not obtrusively so. Some leaves starting to detach from spine in places, though all are currently intact. Plate clean and fine. A small number of annotations throughout. Signed by Elder on the front flyleaf, with ink stamp of later owner. Very good. Estimate $1,000. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
