Miller & Ryder's State Coinage Of New England, with Annotations by BoydNew York: ANS, 1920. 4to, original printed card covers. (4), 76 pages; 7 plates of coins. Annotated throughout, in what appears to be F.C.C. Boyd's handwriting. Mention is made of pieces in his collection and the annotations are thorough. Eric P. Newman did not tend to write in books; Boyd did, and is known to have annotated at least one other copy of this same publication. A leaf from an issue of Empire Topics from 1958, the year Boyd died, announcing a new Massachusetts copper variety, laid in. Volume very worn from use, with spine perished. Good, with problems, though still a notable copy of the separately published edition, offprinted from the American Journal of Numismatics, of these still-standard works. Estimate $500. Ex: F.C.C. Boyd. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
