Eric P. Newman's Cigar Box Coin Trays Made by Him and His FatherMade by Eric P. Newman with his father, Samuel. These are discussed in Truth Seeker: The Life of Eric P. Newman (by Leonard Augsburger, Joel J. Orosz and Roger W. Burdette): "While forming his coin collection, Eric got help from his father in meticulously modifying wooden cigar boxes to hold a single row of coins; each coin, often wrapped in thin paper, was carefully placed in an annotated envelope" (page 17). Twenty-nine wooden boxes of various brands are present. All but one with intact lids (one loose, but present). A unique opportunity to preserve a significant memento of the life of our country's greatest numismatist. Estimate $500. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
