Folio [34.5 by 26.5 cm], later crimson leather and green cloth; original gilt-decorated and lettered spine laid on. viii, 102, (2) pages; illustrated throughout and on 12 finely engraved plates (of 13 called for) demonstrating different technologies and depicting bank notes, vignettes, and various design elements, with tissue guards. Lacking final plate depicting Perkins's "New System." Minor intermittent foxing. Near fine, apart from the missing plate.
