17951/2 P Washington Grate Halfpenny, Large Buttons, Reeded Edge, MS63 Red and Brown NGC. Baker-29B, W-10955, Musante GW-49, R.2. A splendid Select example that displays ample pockets of mint red within the legends and Washington's coat. The strike is crisp except on Washington's shoulder. One tick beneath the middle button, but otherwise unabraded. The reverse field displays glimpses of lacquer. Listed on page 95 of the 2019 Guide Book. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
