17471/2 P Georgivs II, Machin's Mills Halfpenny, Vlack 1-47A, W-7660, R.5, Fine Uncertified. The pleasing steel-brown surfaces exhibit slight porosity on this still attractive example of the only Machin's Mills issue that depicts King George II. As such, this is an extremely important Colonial type issue. A small rim irregularity at 2 o'clock appears to be a post-strike imperfection. The date and legends are all distinct with some detail remaining on the obverse. The seated figure of Britannia on the reverse is outlined. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
