Group of Early Contemporary Counterfeit British Halfpence. Eric identifies the source of six of the seven 1699-dated pieces as Philadelphia in 1975, and they are apparently from the famous Philadelphia Highway Hoard. Two other pieces are dated 1700 and 1701. All nine examples grade in the Good to Fine range. Additionally, this lot includes a small piece of a pipe stem and a pewter spoon fragment, both also found at the same site. Ex: Eric P.
