1772 Contemporary Counterfeit British Halfpenny, AU. This glossy chestnut-brown contemporary counterfeit retains traces of cartwheel luster. An outstanding, high-grade example of a series that is rarely seen so fine. Family attribution remains undetermined. The first G in GEORGIVS is out of position, perhaps leading to its identification.
