1781 Imitation British Halfpenny, Newman 41-81B, Good. This is the plate coin for obverse 41 and reverse 81B in Eric's 1988 article. Light tan surfaces exhibit minor corrosion on the reverse. This is apparently a difficult variety to find in nice condition. Eric's article argued the case that the 1781 and 1785 imitation halfpence circulated in America. Ex: Eric P.
