1854G$1 Type One Gold Dollar, MS61 NGC. A sharp final-year Type One gold dollar with original straw-gold and peach luster. Only light field grazes limit the grade and eye appeal is exceptional for the MS61 level. 1853-OG$1 Gold Dollar - Obverse Damage - NGC Details. AU. Variety 2. Barely a brush of high-point wear is apparent on this early New Orleans gold dollar, and luster remains in the fields. A couple of small digs near the obverse rim at 8 o'clock prevent a numeric grade but are not visually detracting. A couple of smaller marks appear on the reverse at the TE in UNITED. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
