1962 Confederate Half Dollar, Bashlow Restrike, MS66 Red and Brown NGC. Bertram-B861-218. Bronze, 30.6 mm. According to Peter Bertram, the Bashlow "second restrike" Confederate half dollars were struck from copy dies created from a Scott Restrike half. Bashlow's various Confederate restrikes have grown in popularity over the years, and are now widely collected. This brilliant Premium Gem retains nearly all of its original orange color. Ex: Eric P.
