| Description |
(1815-1818) Dutch Three Reaal (18 Stuivers) on a Fifth-Cut 8 Reales, XF45 NGC. 5.8 grams. A third example of the numeric 3 countermark. The host coin is well defined surrounding the circular imprint, and is readily identified as a Mexico Mint 8 reales. This is a sharp and attractive example of both the host segment and the Dutch Authority counterstamp. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
Heritage Auctions 11/2018 (Newman XI), lot15616 (realized $504).
