Allender Rocker-Style Counterfeit Gold Detector. A John Allender patent-pending rocker gold coin counterfeit detector with five coin slots. The slots are labeled for the eagle, double eagle, half eagle, quarter eagle, and gold dollar. The dollar slot has an inset for the smaller diameter Type One variety. The original bushing for the three dollar piece, which nests inside the half eagle slot, is included. A paper inscribed "15A" is taped to the bottom of the base. Very fine condition. Measures 8.5 x 1.6 x 0.6 inches. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
