Lot of Two John Allender Six-Slot Brass Rocker Counterfeit Detectors. The slots are labeled for the eagle, double eagle, half eagle, three dollar piece, quarter eagle, and gold dollar. The dollar slots have a 13 mm. inset for Type One coins, dating these to post-1854. One of the detectors is stamped PATENT PENDING and the other PATENT NOV 27. 1855. Very good to fine condition. Each detector measures 8.5 x 1.6 x 0.6 inches. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
