Lot of Five Hand-Held Scale Gauges. A wooden piece that has rounded ends and folds open with Eastern Arabic gauging symbols. One set of symbols translates to 88, 100, and 110. The other set translates to 44, 51, indeterminate, and 55. One side also has an Arabic inscription filled with gold paint. Good condition. Measures 4.4 x 0.8 x 0.4 inches. An ivory (or other off-white natural material) piece is also of Eastern Arabic origin. The gauge markings are worn but identically match those of the Eastern Arabic wooden gauge described above. Good condition. Measures 4.1 x 0.8 x 0.4 inches. A second wooden piece has one squared end and one round end. Inscriptions are in the traditional Hindu-Arabic numerals. One set of gauges is marked 88, 100, and 110. The other side is marked 44, 51 (followed by a second, sideways 1), and 55. A partial imprint on the square end reads in part "BOGOS." Fine condition. Measures 4.0 x 1.0 x 0.5 inches. A metal gauge is stamped KRIKOR. The gauge notches are stamped 88, 100, and 110 on one side, and 44, 51, and 55 on the other. Very good condition. Measures 3.6 x 0.7 x 0.4 inches. A second metal piece is stamped ISKENDER ARABIAN CONS - PL E, and it has a working dial adjustment. The dial face is stamped BREV�T� S.G.D.G. along with an Arabic inscription. The dial markings are stamped in both Hindu-Arabic numerals as well as Eastern Arabic symbols. Fine condition.
