Coinometer Typewriter Style Coin Dispenser. Very Good. The "Coinometer" was produced by the Universal Stamping and Manufacturing Co. of 2839-2851 North Western Ave., Chicago, Illinois. Patented on November 27, 1923. This machine was a typewriter-style coin dispenser, with keys that indicated the amount of change to be dispensed, and a number of different combinations of coins available (i.e., the black key marked 25 released a quarter, while the red key marked 25 released two dimes and five cents, etc.). It has a black cast iron body, with a brass label and eight coin stacks. Approximately 13.3 x 11.5 x 15 inches. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
