Folio [36 by 28 cm], 19th-century black cloth; original pale blue printed front paper cover mounted. (48) pages, 16 engraved plates of coins. Contents a little loose. Near fine. Among the United States coins depicted is an 1804 silver dollar; the reverse features an adaptation of the small eagle design abandoned in 1795. [with] Abbildungen von Gold- und Silber-M�nzen des 19ten Jahrh. No place or date (the latest date on the coins depicted is 1839). Folding wall chart: 15 by 26 cm folded; 60 by 53 cm unfolded. Depicted are both sides of 85 currently circulating gold and silver coins of the world. Most of the coins are hand-tinted in yellow or pale blue. Printed on card stock, mounted in eight sections on brown cloth, with a printed lettering-piece. Two United States coins are depicted: an 1804 gold quarter eagle and an 1804 silver dollar. The design elements of the quarter eagle are substantially accurate but the reverse of the 1804 dollar features an adaptation of the small eagle design abandoned in 1795. Eric P.
