Small 4to, contemporary black quarter calf, gilt. (4), iv, (5)-220 pages; finely engraved frontispiece title engraving of the Mint building; 16 attractively engraved plates of coins, all on coated paper with original tissue guards. Inscribed to "William Degenhardt Esqr. from the Author / U.S. Mint, Phila. / May 25, 1849" on the flyleaf. Binding a little worn; contents well-preserved. Very good or better.
